🛠️ Patch Notes: Pets, Gems, Names & New Players

🐾 Pet Fix: +HP% now works in combat

Thanks to @TR3NCH for the report!

• Fixed: Your pet's +HP% bonus did nothing in normal fights. It only worked in Raids and the Arena. It now works everywhere you fight solo.
• In normal fights it works as extra toughness: every hit you take is reduced. +10% HP means it takes 10% more damage to bring you down. Your HP bar won't get bigger, but you'll see smaller hits.
• Fixed: When you fail to flee, the hit you take now counts your pet's +DEF% and +HP% too.

💎 Gem Economy Update

🛡️ Alt-account exploit fixed New accounts could sell their starting Gems to the Black Merchant for a lot of gold, or pass them to a main account. That's fixed. Thanks to @TR3NCH for reporting it!

🆕 New players

• New accounts now start with 0 Gems
• Tutorial reward is now 1,000 Gold + 3 days of Premium ✨ (was 100 Gems)

🔒 Reward Gems Gems from free rewards (Battle Pass, Achievements, Arena season rewards, Guild Wars, Voucher codes) are now reward Gems: ✅ Spend them on anything in-game: Store, cosmetics, pets, Battle Pass, guild bank… ❌ Free players can't sell them to the Black Merchant, trade them, or use them on the Marketplace 👑 Premium players have no limits. They can sell and trade all their Gems.

ℹ️ Good to know

• Gems you already have are not affected, and you can still sell or trade them
• Bought Gems (Store or Black Merchant) can always be sold and traded
• Reward Gems are spent first, so your bought Gems stay tradeable
• The Black Merchant now shows how many of your Gems come from rewards

🛡️ Username Filter Update

• Racial slurs, homophobic and transphobic slurs, and hate-group references (Nazi, KKK, etc.) are now blocked in usernames
• The filter sees through tricks like extra letters, swapped letters and numbers in place of letters
• Normal words containing a blocked word (like "Raccoon" or "Pakistan") still work
• Signing up with Discord now checks your Discord name too. If it isn't allowed, you'll start as "Player" and can pick a new name
• Applies to new sign-ups, username changes and pet names
• Think a normal name was blocked by mistake? Let a moderator know! 💬

🧭 Smoother start for new adventurers

• After creating your hero you land right on the Travel page
• The welcome screen is now one page with a big Take my first step button. The full tour is still there ("Show me around first")
• Closing the welcome screen no longer turns off the tutorial by accident
• A bouncing arrow points at STEP until your first step, at Attack in your first fight, and after your first victory a card points you to the Raids, where the best loot drops
• The newsletter question now shows up after your first won fight, not right after sign-up
• Newsletter subscribers who never took a step get one reminder email with a link straight to Travel (at most once, unsubscribe via the link in the email)
• All new texts are available in all 14 languages 🌍
